Hawthorn

This painting measures 500 x 405 mm /19 3/4" x 16" with its pale cream mount. It was painted with dyes on habotai silk using a watercolour method. Dye was applied wet on wet and wet on dry to define some areas. Inspired by the beautiful spring blossoms in the hedgerows around the village.
