Wild Pansy

This painting of wild pansies  has been painted on a lovely medium weight silk using cold water dyes and a watercolour technique. Some details have been added using heat set silk paints. The silk makes a gorgeous smaller square scarf, but could also be used (given) as a very luxurious furoshiki, a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth used to transport clothes, gifts or other goods. Or it could perhaps be framed and hung.
