This lovely light coloured scarf, in a floaty silk, a lustrous ponge 5, was inspired by a journey through the Assynt area in the Highlands in mid summer. The scene is of the mountain Quinag as seen from the small crofting community of Elphin, a few miles north of Ullapool. The scarf was painted with cold water dyes in a palette of soft blues, moss greens, russet browns and heather purples. The flowers in the foreground include harebell, knapweed and Scots lovage.
