Hiding Among the Undergrowth

A lovely richly coloured silk square in a floaty lightweight silk ponge. Colours of forest green, avocado, plum, russet, chestnut, purple and a flash of carmine. The design has been created using a gutta resist technique with cold water dyes. Highlights have been added with pearlised silk paints. Often I will spot pheasants from the kitchen window (or hear them as they communicate between one another) as they snuggle down in the undergrowth for a nap in the sunshine.
