River Shingle Flowers

Needing a rest during a long summer walk, my eye was caught by the colours of some wildflowers growing in the shingle and rocks of the River Callater. The design has been outlined with a silver gutta and painted with cold water dyes. There is the seedheads of mountain sorrel, tormentil, lady's mantle and sweet-smelling mountain thyme.
