A panoramic view of the Cairngorm plateau and the Lairig Ghru on a floaty chiffon silk. The painting has been created using cold water dyes and a silver coloured gutta. Colours of ochre, mustard, pink granite, siena, plum and rust.  On the left are the slopes of Ben Macdui and Carn a Mhaim, then below the River Dee snakes it's way through the Lairig Ghru. The Devil's Point, Carn Toul, Sron na Lairig, Braeriach and Sgor Gaoithe are the other high peaks and in the foreground lichen covered boulders are starry saxifrage, alpine lady's mantle and crowberry.
