Painted freehand with silk paints this lovely silk shows a couple of the plants found high on the Cairngorms plateau around one of the highest of it's lochs, Loch Etchachan. Thrift, with it's pink flowers and seedheads, was a surprise to find, golden spikes of bog asphodel and also and the gorgeous flowers of moss campion. It is a slow process colouring the silk in this way, but an enjoyable and satisfing way to work.
