Colour - it makes me so happy - fallen leaves, a stormy sky, lichen, a highland loch, the sea

Nature's beautiful landscapes and flora - perfect, precious, fascinating and irreplacable.

Blue is the number one favourite colour. Blue pigments were originally made from minerals such as lapis lazuli and cobalt.

Seen as trustworthy, committed and dependable. It can be calming or exhilirating depending on the shade. It can be cool or sedate and aids understanding and intuition. It is also seen as quiet, faithful and credible

Red is the highest arc of the rainbow and the first colour you lose sight of at twilight.

Yellow is the most luminous of all the colours and it captures our attention more than any other.

Violet is the colour at the end of the visible spectrum of light between blue and the invisible ultraviolet.

This was the colour of the first dye made by humans. Now purple symbolises nobility and luxury to most people in the world.

Uplifting and calming with a sense of spirituality, it can also  encourage creativity. With a sense of mystic and royal qualities it is often a favourite colour of creative and eccentric people.
